Currency Converter
A currency converter restates an amount in one money in terms of another using the current exchange rate. Toolverge fetches the day’s rate from the European Central Bank’s published reference rates and updates it every time you change either currency. Bank and card-network exchange rates typically differ from the ECB’s published reference rate by a spread the institution keeps as a fee or margin, so this conversion is the right number for understanding relative value, not for predicting exactly what a bank transfer or card charge will show.

Frequently asked questions
How current is the exchange rate?
It is the latest daily reference rate published by the European Central Bank (via the free Frankfurter API), typically updated once per business day.
Is this rate exact for bank transfers or card payments?
No. Banks and card networks add their own margin and fees on top of the reference rate. Use this for estimates, not settlement.
Which currencies are supported?
USD, EUR, GBP, INR, JPY, CAD, AUD, CNY, CHF, SGD, AED, and ZAR.
Why does the page say "Fetching the live rate…"?
The rate is fetched from your browser after the page loads, not baked into the page, so it is never stale by the time you read it.
What happens if the rate service is unreachable?
You will see a short error message instead of a guessed number — Toolverge never shows a fabricated rate.
